The soul bonding magic happens, it knows Alec better than he does himself, because now… he feels like everything makes more sense, like even without speech or touch Magnus calms him, fills him, and even though he’s a mystery, even though Alec doesn’t know anything about him, it’s okay. Because this is what poets write about, what every mundane and Shadowhunter and Downworlder waits for, isn’t it? This feeling.
