“I won’t tell,” Max is saying, and Alec is already halfway out of the bed when the child’s voice answers with a small: “Okay.”

There are a few moments of silence, interrupted by the raffling of sheets, and then: “I like the room.”

More silence, and: “It’s just too quiet.”

Alec glances at Magnus, worrying his lower lip between his teeth.

Max says: “You can stay with me,” sleep dragging his words a bit, “Dad and Papa say I’m never quiet.”

Magnus and Alec both snort.

Summary:

Alec growled, Asmodeus didn’t deserve to be in Magnus presence, didn’t deserve to lay eyes on him. Magnus had shared the story of his parentage with Alec, and while he knew Magnus had come from Asmodeus’ blood. He was no father to Magnus.

I did 🙂 I spent a lot of time with my family and my significant other and his family. After dealing with long-distance the last five months, it was so nice to spend two solid weeks together. I’m Back!

I’m finally back from my holiday adventures and professional conference! Everything went really well on that front, but coming back to this blog resulted in a bit of confusion. 

Let me start by saying that I’m really sorry for the unanticipated hiatus! I had everything queued up until I was scheduled to be back, but I mistakenly set it up for January 2017 instead of January 2018. Because of this, obviously nothing got posted. I have readjusted the queue to reflect dates coming up and will double check everything until I get used to typing 2018. Again, sorry for the confusion!
