Anonymous asked: How do you choose what fics you post?
It’s kind of a complicated answer, simply because there are layers to it. A lot of it has to do with my own preferences, especially in terms of grammar, spelling, theme, and so on. For example, a few things that I tend to avoid are first-person point of view (unless it’s done really well) and spelling/grammatical errors (especially if they appear repeatedly throughout the fic and/or its description). I also tend to prefer fluff, hurt and comfort, and family fics, which is probably pretty apparent based on what I tend to rec. Part of the reason that I create events is to ensure that I read and rec a variety of fics so that it (hopefully) isn’t as noticeable.
Overall, as long as the fic is well-written and has an enjoyable storyline, it has a good chance of being recced – or recced eventually. There are a number of fics that I have read and bookmarked to rec, as well as others that I have bookmarked that I want to eventually return to and read. Unfortunately, it’s all time-sensitive.
I hope this made sense! If you’d like more information, let me know. I tried to sum everything up so I didn’t ramble, but I’d be more than happy to explain it more in-depth or answer a more specific question in regards to this.
