Summary:


When Magnus has to go away on a business trip to wintery London, Alec makes sure he won’t get cold.

Growing up in the Institute had taught Alec a lot of things. Most importantly, to always have warm clothes at hand as soon as the weather became chilly. The concrete walls of the Institute may be a perfect shield against the heat during summer, but they absorbed every bit of warm air inside as well. So warm clothing during winter it was. For Alec, that didn’t really pose as a problem, he had long gotten used to low temperatures in the Institute.

Magnus, however, was an entirely different story.

Summary:

There’s a few moments of shuffling as they both find comfortable positions but soon enough Magnus is stretched out with his feet on the low coffee table in front of the couch and Alec cuddled close to his side. The blanket is over them both now and it’s all adorably cozy.


It settles something in him. It’s a nonchalant closeness that he never thought he’d have and Magnus soaks it up even as he rolls his eyes as Alec leeches every bit of his body heat. He opens his book back to his spot and lays the hardcover in his lap. Alec, for his part, hums faintly and burrows deeper into Magnus.

Or, a quiet winter morning.

“From me.” Magnus’ voice was flat with no inflection and Alec winced. He moved to sit next to Magnus and put his glass down on the table so he could take one of Magnus’ hands, his thumb rubbing at one of his rings.
