Update: Author Masterlist

In an attempt to feature another organizational method for the blog I have created the Author Masterlist, which includes every author that has been recced at least once by this blog. 

The good news? Upon calculating the number of authors that would need to be listed, I realized that the works of 480 authors have been recced in the last 13 months! The bad news? Tumblr’s page feature apparently doesn’t like having that many links on a single page, because it won’t allow them to remain intact when I save it.

In order to compensate for this, I have created four text posts that list sections of the masterlist alphabetically. They will be posted shortly and I will be working on linking them to each other, as well as creating a button for the sidebar. Please be patient as I make these adjustments. Thanks in advance!

Theme Update

I’ve got a short bit of free time this afternoon, so I’m going to work on updating the theme for about an hour or so. There may be issues as I transition a few things, so please be patient with the system. It should be back up and running smoothly shortly though. I’ll be sure to post again to let everyone know when I’m done. In the meantime, I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. Happy reading!

Theme Update

Update on Tag Issue

I think I have found a way to work around Tumblr’s tag limit, so the system on the Tags Index Page should pick up results based on the written post and the tags now.

This isn’t infallible, as it can pick up results in administrative posts or asks and is especially finicky concerning pairings, but overall I think it will work better in the long run. I have gone in and adjusted everything, so the only tags that currently do not link to anything are: 

  • Themes By Occupation: Pirate and Physician
  • Themes: Aging, Amnesia, Arranged Marriage, Bodyguard, Crime, Historical, Holidays, Illness, Military, Office, Pretend Relationship, Single Parent and Sports

This is because I have not posted any recs that fit them yet. That being said, several of the recs that I already have queued up for the next few weeks fit most of them (see the items in the list above). Holiday fic recs will be posted when they correspond with a certain holiday (i.e., Father’s Day fics have already been queued for Father’s Day) and the themes that are left are part of fics on my to-read list, so those links may remain empty for a while.

Hopefully this will take care of the majority of the problem, but please be patient with the system in the meantime. Out of 330 fic-related tags currently being used on this blog, only 15 (and soon to be only 7) are not currently linked to recs. That’s pretty good for a two-month-old blog.
