They’re on the run now in a stolen Firefly transporter, trying to make it to Earth, which has been deserted for centuries, to hide the Mortal Cup so it can’t be used against Downworlders. Between working jobs as smugglers and his relationship with his security officer, Alec isn’t exactly happy, but content.

Until Magnus Bane, warlock and companion, joins them as a passenger.
