I will be away for a long weekend starting on Thursday. Everything is queued up for the remainder of the Tag a Day Event though, so you won’t miss out on those recs. I just won’t be available for a few days. If you run into any issues though, please feel free to still send me a message and I will address them as soon as possible. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the event! Happy reading 🙂
This is the last week of the Tag a Day Event! Each day will feature fic recs for canon universe and alternate universe fics based on a single central theme. This week’s posting schedule is:
The form for Author Appreciation Day is now closed.
Thank you so much to those who participated! This event gained more support than I expected and reading your responses has been fantastic! They will be posted throughout the day on November 1st.
I came home from work today, intent on adding tags to the Tag Index page, and when I closed out of it instead of saving the additions Tumblr pretty much eradicated all of the coding on the page. (Not that I’m surprised; I’ve been having issues with this for a few weeks now). Unfortunately, fixing this is going to take some time so please be patient. I’m hoping to have it back up and running sometime tonight.
Update: All of the tags are now represented in the Primary Plot Tags Page and the Secondary Plot Tags Page; everything is linked and accessible again. It’s not how I want it to be – or how it will probably stay in the long run – but until I have more time, this will have to do. Please let me know if you have any problems while trying to access the pages or any specific tags. Thanks for your patience!
Only twenty-four hours left to share your appreciation for Shadowhunters authors and their fics!
In order to recognize the phenomenal authors within the fandom, as well as their creative works, this blog will not be posting fic recs on November 1st. Instead, we will be marking National Author’s Day with our own Author Appreciation Day.
In order to take part in this event, please write a short response about your experiences in the fandom as a writer and/or reader. If you are a fic author, please write about your perspective as a writer; if you are a fic reader, please write about you appreciation for authors and their fics.
Submit your response by using the fillable form here. It will remain open until October 20th at 9:00 P.M., EST.

This blog will be dedicating a single day to show the fandom’s appreciation for our amazing fic authors on National Author’s Day, but I need your help in order to pull it off. Please write a short message about your appreciation for them and their fics to be shared on the blog throughout the day on November 1st.
Not sure what to write? Here are a few potential ideas to help you get started:
What does being able to read fics mean to you?
What is your favorite thing about reading fics?
If you could thank fic authors for one thing, what would it be?

I just want to take a quick second to thank everyone who has already participated in Author Appreciation Day. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to write about your experiences as authors and your appreciation as readers.
I absolutely love reading all of your beautiful responses and I’m beyond excited to share them and their positivity with the rest of the fandom in November.
