Magnus was his whole world- he made his world better and brighter and livelier. Alec remembered life before Magnus, when he was still in the closet and scared of being himself and never laughed or went out with his friends, terrified that his eyes would linger on a cute guy for too long, or that he would slip up and accidentally say something that would give himself away. He was so scared back then… and then Magnus had literally barged into his life, taken him by the hand, and shown him all the amazing possibilities in front of him.
