After Magnus makes the drinks, they move to the balcony, like they do every night. It’s almost as if they are trying to regain control. Perhaps, in the back of their minds, if they follow a practiced and almost mundane routine, there is a higher likelihood of things returning to a sense of normality – if anything, they do it because it feels as though a gate has been opened today leading to a path they both knew was inevitable but had seemingly refused to consider, feigning ignorance until it became too hard to continue.

Or, just after the last Malec scene in 3×05. Neither of them are really all that okay. Ends optimistically!

Hi! Yes, I’ve definitely recced some fics that focus on their sibling relationship. You’re right in that trying to go through the Izzy Lightwood tag can be tricky, because that includes fics where she’s anywhere from briefly mentioned to a full-fledged character making an appearance. It’s not as specific as an Alec & Izzy tag would be, so I think this is a very good idea.

However, if I’m going to do this I’d like to feature other relationships as well, for both Magnus and Alec. If you or anyone else would like to see other familial relationships and/or friendships included in this, please comment on this post, message me, or take part in the Google Forms poll that I just created. I’ll leave it open until Tuesday at 9:00 PM EST.

I fully intend on doing this, but I simply don’t have the time to re-tag fics at the moment. My next month outside of Tumblr is going to be incredibly busy and it’ll be all that I can do to promptly create and post recs and keep track of the Author Appreciation Day sign-ups. So please be patient, as I will transition this element into the Tags Index page but it’s going to take some time.

I don’t know Magnus. I’ve never said a word to him, but I’ve seen the way he looks at you. A man doesn’t look at you like that, unless he’s prepared to take on any challenge for you. I think if you asked for the world, Magnus Bane would give it to you.
