Personal Announcement
I hinted a few weeks ago that I was getting a new job and, now that everything is official, I feel like I can talk about it publicly. After nearly six months of talking it over, I am joining the family business. I start training on Monday morning and will be helping out part-time with the bookkeeping and building/managing our online presence. It has the potential to turn into a full-time position in the next few years, but until then I’ll also continue to work part-time at the office I’ve been with for 5 years. I’m really, really excited about the opportunities to learn and grow, both through diverse experiences and continued education courses, as well as the opportunity to help continue the legacy of the oldest business in my hometown.
What does that mean for this blog and the affiliated Twitter account? My work schedule is going to be pretty touch and go for a while until we get everything dialed in, so my presence online will operate in the same way for a while. At this point, I have recs for the blog created through the middle of November and just have to queue them up. I’ll be on Twitter, continuing to fight to #SaveShadowhunters, as much as I possibly can but my time is going to become more limited as I adjust to this major change. I’m not leaving, I just won’t be here as often as I have been. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as I begin and adjust to a new chapter in my life! 😊
