The Countdown to Season 3 Event will continue through most of this month with Season 2 fic recs. The event will culminate with Season 3 prediction fic recs on March 20th, 20 of which will be posted throughout the day until 3×01 premieres at 8:00 PM EST. In order to mark the first day of Spring on March 20th, the following day’s recs will consist of warmer weather and walks in Central Park during the Spring in New York Event.

The 3A Episode Collection Event will begin on March 25th and run until March 27th. This weekly, three-day event, spanning Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, will feature fic recs related to the previous week’s episode, as well as any predictions based on the upcoming episode’s promotional material. It will run throughout the entire airing of Season 3A. More information, including the full posting schedule, will be shared as this event gets closer. 

March 29th is the two-year anniversary of 1×12. In celebration, during the 1×12 Anniversary Event fic recs will be related to that episode.

Celebrate the love between Magnus and Alec with the Valentine’s Day event on February 14. 

In order to mark the one-year anniversary of this blog’s creation, February 19 will be dedicated to an Annual Review. While no new fic recs will be posted, yearly analytics will be evaluated, favorite fics and quotes will be revisited, and followers will be able to take part in a poll that will help guide the future of this blog. More information on this event will be posted closer to its date.

We will mark the last month of the hiatus with the Countdown to Season 3 event. Beginning on February 20, fic recs for each episode will be posted daily leading up to the Season 3 premiere date on March 20. More information on this event will be posted closer to its start date.

Due to the craziness in my personal and professional life at the moment, I will be using the week of December 3rd to December 9th to begin preparing recs for the rest of the month. The blog will go on a short hiatus during this time in order to ensure the posting schedule remains consistent throughout the events taking place this month.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Event will take place from December 14th to December 25th. It will primarily revolve around winter-themed fic recs.

To celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve on December 24th, 25th, and 31st respectively, fics with corresponding holiday and themes will be posted.

November 1st is National Author’s Day. Following the events that took place at the end of September, I feel that it is especially important to recognize the amazing fic writers we have in the fandom. In order to do that, no recs will be posted. Instead, Author Appreciation Day will consist of posts acknowledging them and their dedication. For more information, please click here.

To celebrate Thanksgiving on November 23rd, fics with corresponding holiday and family themes will be posted.

Halloween is on Tuesday, October 31st. In celebration, fic recs will be posted that feature themes related to the holiday.

September 1st marks the day Hogwarts students return to school. During the Back to Hogwarts Event, a few Wizarding World crossovers will be posted in order to celebrate.

In honor of Alec’s birthday in September, there will be a week-long Birthday Event dedicated to birthday fics centered around both Alec and Magnus. Prevalent themes will include birthdays, aging, and family. This event will run from Monday, September 11 to Sunday, September 17. 

Autumn officially begins on September 22nd. The Autumn in New York Event will feature fic recs that include fall-based themes.

The calendar above indicates this month’s events. As 2B comes to a close, the last few weeks of the Episode Collection Event will be taking place. The schedule for fic recs based on the last three episodes of Season 2 are:

  • 2×18: airs July 31; recs on August 5 – August 7
  • 2×19: airs August 7; recs on August 12 – August 14
  • 2×20: airs August 14; recs on August 19 – August 21

Episode Collection Event: Schedule Update

A recent article written by International Business Times provides the air dates for the remaining episodes of Season 2. The only major difference is that they are taking a week off for Independence Day; a new episode will not air on July 3rd. I have updated the posting schedule for recs to reflect this.

Vacation / Upcoming Schedule

Just a reminder that I will be on vacation for about two weeks, starting next Tuesday June 20th. In preparation, here are a few last-minute reminders. 

  • I have everything queued during the week, so you’ll still be getting a few fic recs per day while I’m away. I’ll check in now and again to make sure everything is running smoothly, but overall I won’t be very active on Tumblr while I’m gone.
  • Starting tomorrow, I will be posting one rec per day for the Max Two ‘Verse series by heartsdesire456. They will be intermixed with other fic recs. As the series includes eighteen one-shots of varying lengths, I feel that this is the best way to still provide a variety of recs while also making sure that I don’t forget any of them.
  • The Episode Collection Events on the weekends will still be taking place. I will be monitoring the fics that are posted to A03 concerning the newest episodes and reccing them during the week in order to prepare for the weekend. 
  • The only break in the Episode Collection Event will come next Sunday, June 18th, as the recs will feature parenting fics in honor of Father’s Day.
  • I will also continue reading fics and preparing recs for the Fic Preference Poll Event while I am gone, which will begin on Monday July 3rd.

Today kicks off the first weekend of the Episode Collection Event for 2B!
