This site originated on Tumblr and moved to WordPress in December 2018. While the site is usable, it’s important to note that it will still be under construction for the foreseeable future. There are quite a few things that need altered and updated in order to re-create and improve upon elements here from the site on Tumblr. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as I continue working on the site in order to make it as user-friendly as possible.
For more information concerning what you can expect from this transition and what I will be altering, please click here.
Hi there! No, it appears that anything you post on Tumblr after you have imported your blog to WordPress does not automatically post there too. There are plugins available on WordPress to allow you to do that, but you have to have a Business Plan (which you have to pay for) in order to use them. However, I have just found out that you can use an applet on IFTTT to connect your Tumblr to your WordPress and vice versa in order to auto post. You might want to look into that to see if it fits your needs. I hope that helps!

In case you missed it the last week, I have been in the process of moving the blog to WordPress following Tumblr’s announcement last week. While there is still a lot of work left to be done, I feel comfortable announcing that the blog will officially be moving to its new home and begin posting new recs this Saturday, December 15th. I will share the link to the new site on Saturday morning, Eastern Standard Time. The site here on Tumblr will remain up and available, but all new content will be posted on WordPress.
All of the positives that were applicable here on Tumblr will still be present on WordPress, along with a few added benefits thrown in.
While the site will be usable, it’s important to note that it will still very much be under construction for the foreseeable future. There are quite a few things that need altered and updated in order to re-create and improve upon elements from the site here on Tumblr.
Thank you in advance for sticking with me through this transition, as I attempt to preserve this collection of recs, as well as for your patience as I continue working on improving the new site and its organizational system. Stay tuned for the link on Saturday!
The good news? After 74 hours, the blog has finally been imported to WordPress. The bad news? None of the formatting or tags went with their corresponding posts. I’ll be spending the weekend starting to put that back in order. I’ll share the URL sometime next week, once I get things a bit more organized and user-friendly. I’m honestly just glad that there’s a back-up now. I will happily deal with the rest. Stay tuned for more updates! I’ll provide them as soon as I can.
@veronicasummersfelton asked: Hi! I searched for your url but your blog didn’t appear in the search. I thought you deleted your blog. Did you turn off your search option or something? Because I love your blog & would hate to see you leave.
Thanks so much for letting me know about this! I double-checked and you’re right; the blog’s URL isn’t showing up in Tumblr searches (but it is showing up via Google and Bing). I have no idea why. I checked its visibility settings and it’s not marked as hidden or explicit, so it should come up. I have contacted @support and am waiting for an answer. I’ll share any information I get as it becomes available. Hopefully it’ll be taken care of relatively quickly. Thanks again!
UPDATE: Tumblr staff emailed me today and must’ve resolved this issue because the blog is now showing up in search results via the site (at least on my end). If you’re still having problems, please let me know as soon as possible so I can reach out to them again. Thank you!
Hey! You’re back on searches. I use the android app and your blog does appear in the search results, so yay! But, did the tumblr staff explain the issue? Can you explain it so that others can get help?
Nope, I got this lovely, generic email with absolutely no information in it whatsoever.

It was actually the exact same one that I received when I first submitted my support request, which you can see below.

I was really confused when I got the one yesterday since I hadn’t submitted another support request, but I decided to try searching for the blog’s URL in the event that something had changed and lo and behold it showed up. I didn’t change anything on my end, so it had to be something on theirs. I have no idea why it was hidden originally or what they did to reverse it.
Important Update
In light of Tumblr’s announcement, I will be focusing on backing up the blog to an alternative source for the next few days. The site may not be affected, but as they’ve already hidden it from Tumblr searches for no apparent reason I’m not taking any chances. I’ll post a link to the back-up site as soon as I’m able to.
UPDATE: I’m currently backing up the blog in its entirety to WordPress. If I have to move the blog permanently, I’m not sure it would be a good long-term fit (I’ve actually been playing with Dreamwidth and think it would work better for that due to its large, built-in tagging system), but in the event that the blog suddenly gets deleted or posts get flagged for some reason everything will still exist there. I’ll share the link as soon as I have it. Thanks for your patience and understanding as I do my best to take precautions.

Since WordPress makes it so easy to export Tumblr blogs, I have decided to use this as a back-up for MalecFicLibrary, the collection of organized fic recs that has been housed there since February 2017. The blog may not be affected by their new algorithms and this may turn out to be unnecessary, but I was informed within the last few days that the blog’s URL was no longer showing up in Tumblr searches and I don’t want to lose two years of work if they decide to delete it.
The blog’s posts are currently being exported to this site. As soon as it is finished, I will make sure they are correct and that they are live. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding.
