Summary:

When the Institute gets a call about a rift opening up on the streets of New York, Alec goes out with his team to investigate. They’re expecting a simple mission, but as Alec gets separated from the rest of the group, he realises that it is anything but.

When Alec wakes in the aftermath of the mission, it might as well be to an entirely different life to the one he’s always known. There’s a difficult path ahead of him full of difficult choices. How is he going to find his way back to himself?

This is the tentative schedule for this month. As I said in the most recent blog update, things will be touch-and-go for a while.

The You Pick the Tag Event will continue this month with installations posted on each Friday of the month. They will feature the following thematic tags, as voted on by all of you: Married Couple, Pretend Relationship, Shadow World Politics, and Wedding.

In honor of Halloween, October 31st will feature spooky, Halloween-themed fics recs.

If you’re an author who signed up to receive a personalized thank you card for Author Appreciation Day, those will be sent out in mid-to-late October. Keep an eye out for them!

Blog Update

I know that I’ve been MIA for the past week and I apologize for that. I’m still very much heavily involved in the #SaveShadowhunters campaign and have a few time-sensitive projects that I’m working on and, as I have a few things going on behind-the-scenes professionally, I need to finish those as soon as possible.

It looks like I’ll be starting another part-time job in the near future and that is going to limit the amount of time I’m able to post. I’m not going anywhere, I’m not giving up on the blog (or #SaveShadowhunters), but the amount of time I’ll be spending online will have to decrease in order to focus on my professional success. I’ll talk more about that here once I get the all-clear, but I’m really excited about this new chapter.

That being said, things are going to still be touch and go for while longer, at least until I get everything sorted out, get settled in, and find a revised balance between my personal and professional lives. I can only ask for your understanding as I work all of this out.  

In the immediate future:

  • The September Analytics will be posted as soon as I can finish them, hopefully by the end of this coming weekend at the very latest.
  • Last Friday’s installation of the You Pick the Tag Event will be posted today in order to keep the event on schedule. The next installation will still be this Friday.
