@bonibaru asked: Hi! I just found your library and I’m so impressed with the amount of work you have done here. Really amazing – a great service for fandom. I am a data junkie so having everything tagged and organized and so clean is like an oasis in the desert for me 🙂 I want to peruse your list but I’m finding it time consuming to page back and click through the links to figure out where to start, etc – so I’m wondering – do you happen to have this set up in a google doc or other searchable/sortable format?
Thank you so much! This blog has been a labor of love and I’m really glad that it sounds like you’re enjoying using it as much as I’m enjoying operating it 🙂
To answer your question, unfortunately I do not have this set up in a Google Doc at the moment. The most that I have done is enter titles, authors, number of notes, and the tags that I track for the Monthly Analytics into an excel spreadsheet every month. As you can imagine, back-tracking even that much is extremely time-consuming and I would much rather spend time on reading fics and developing the recs than cataloging everything into another document. However there is an option for my current theme to have a search box, so I will go ahead and enable that so you can try different searches that may not be listed on the Tags Index pages. I’m not sure that this will help you with what you seem to want to accomplish though.
Can I ask what criteria you’re trying to sort the recs with? Are you interested in looking at specific tags that aren’t listed or individual authors? Or are you looking more for a master list of every single rec that’s been posted? I would love to discuss this further with you so I can better understand exactly what you’re looking for. And if you have other ideas concerning this issue, please feel free to message me and we can discuss them as well. I’m a bit of a data junkie too, so I’m always willing to listen to ideas about navigation/tagging/sorting. I hope the search box at least helps a bit in the meantime though!
